About Me

My photo
I am a person with a very energetic, bubbly, and optimistic attitude. I can be extremely random, which I am sure can be both entertaining and/or extremely annoying ^_^ But the most important thing is that I am saved by Christ, and He is my strength and salvation! I love talking about my Lord, and living my life for His glory :) Along the way I like to doodle what I see or imagine.

Belated Inktober 2019

I kind of took a different route and just did mini doodles for each prompt.

Doodles from Oathbringer (Spoiler Alert!)

If you haven't read any of Brandon Sanderson's work, I would highly recommend the Stormlight Archive! It is an amazing series so far (I have just finished the third out of a series that is going to be 10 books long!!! So excited!!) So anyway, if you haven't read Oathbringer, you should probably not look to closely at the doodles. I don't think there are any major spoilers, but anyway, fair warning!

Sorry for the low quality of pics.. But I hope you enjoy them!

"No Mating." This part made me laugh!! I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out, though Adolin's hair is definitely too neat and combed over looking XD and this was my first attempt at drawing a havah, but I think I did ok.

Not sure how the fused are able to stay in the air so long to facilitate this kind of clothing, but they don't ever seem to touch the ground.. do they have limitless stormlight or something? :P

Lift.. a picture of her didn't seem complete without her eating something XD

I like how Adolin turned out in this one.. and that's supposed to be Maya (Shardsmar version) beside him.

Adolin trying to summon Maya in Shadesmar. Had trouble getting this one in the right orientation, so sorry for the crick-in-the-neck angle! This part in the book actually made me laugh.. not sure if was supposed to! XD

Inktober Day 5... A day late...

The prompt was Sword, so I chose to do Yona's sword :) in terms of the story, I don't think she has it yet... But I think it's more symbolic at this point.

Inktober Day 5

The prompt was "long". I was seriously stumped till I found the adorable picture that I used for the reference! Happy with how it turned out!

Inktober Day 3

The prompt was poison.. I may come back later and add some more details on the back story of the picture I chose to do... But for now here it is... And hands are hard!

Inktober 2017: Day 1= Swift

Who is swifter than Jae-ha to the rescue? I plan on staying on using the manga Akatsuki no Yona as my inspiration for this challenge. Looking forward to sharing the results!

A Note from far far away ^_^

It has been a loooong time since I have posted anything! But I have not been idle!... Or at least not entirely. I still love painting! And I especially love hanging around the special friends that I have that give me so many good ideas for artwork! They keep me very busy! In terms of artwork ideas I feel like I get more ideas from others than myself, and I craft their idea into my own... I feel like a good proportion of the time that I sit down to just "do art" I come up blank. Which is why it is more fun to do it with friends who are willing suppliers of ideas! but anyway.. To the art!
And if you couldn't tell.. I love painting with blue ^_^

Blast From the Past!

(This whole post may also be a small apology for the huge amount of time that seems to come between me and my posts ^_^  Consider yourself bribed.)

This is one I have had for a while. It is from the Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson.

The most recent picture I have done in this set. I have been doing several cards like these. It's been a lot of fun. I love the colors of sunsets, and the high contrast silhouette is really fun to do and looks really cool.

Diana Wynn Jones' Howl's Moving Castle is one of my favorites by her and there are several parts in the book that have inspired the following illustrations. I never shared these before in the hope that someday I would actually have a complete set. And I still hope for that, but I would like to share what I have ^_^ Hope you all enjoy :)  My favorites are Eldest of Three, Charmed suits and Long noses.. eh.. I guess I am pretty happy with all of them ^_^

New Year! And a New project

So yeah, it has been a little while since I posted last... But that doesn't mean I haven't been idle! ^_^
I am so excited to share me year-long project with you all! It's basically an art diary. I have been enjoying it so much! I try to do a little bit every day. Of course with school I tend to fall behind, so then I just have more space to fill up ^_^ Here are a few samples of what my year has been like so far.

Watercolor Version vs. Pencil.. Plus other nonsense ^_^

Well, I finally did a watercolor version of my pencil dandelion. The watercolor one turned out different then I was expecting, but I like it. They both have their good qualities ^_^

Pencil: I like the cracks in this one, they look a little more like actual cement cracks ^_^
Watercolor:  The cracks look almost techno-ish (not sure of the proper term here ^_^ ) But otherwise I really like it!

Now for the random stuff:

The reason I haven't posted anything in forever? Why school of course! Thankfully it has been going pretty well. God has definitely blessed me even if in the midst of school.

A quick sketch/watercolor of a Raggant from N. D. Wilson's awesomeandamazing series ^_^ LOVE THAT SERIES!

Here is the Doctor in Child form... They could totally do a series like this! It would be SO hilarious!! (Copyright Abigail Parnell, you can buy the idea for 150 thousand dollars! ;) )

Ok, so this is the REALLY random one. It's just a doodle I did for my BAE class last semester. ^_^

Dandelions!!

I recently read an amazing(!!) series by N. D Wilson that I reallyreally enjoyed! The first book is called 100 Cupboards, and the main character has magic that comes from dandelions! I have now decided that dandelions are awesome and totally epic, and have done several drawings/paintings involving them.. anyway, if you haven't read this series... you are missing out. Hope you like the artwork. I am sure there will be many more dandelions popping up in the near and far future :) Have a blessed Lord's day!!

I would like to try a watercolor for this one :)

This one wasn't exactly inspired by the series.. but the dandelions definitely were! ^_^
